Cancellation & Refund Policy

This document contains Orbit of Opportunity (O²)'s cancellation and refund policies for both (a) workshops and (b) summer programs and camps. The specific policy that applies to you depends on the type of program you registered for. By registering and submitting payment, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to the applicable policy below.

Which policy applies to you?

  • Workshops (including the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Knowledge Exam preparation workshop): see Part 1, below.
  • Summer programs and camps (Build. Fly. Certify. — Drone Program, Build. Code. Unleash. — Robotics Program, CAD & 3D Printing Program, and any other multi-day youth program): see Part 2, below.

Part 1

Workshops

This Part 1 applies to O² workshops, including the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Knowledge Exam preparation workshop. By registering for a workshop and submitting payment, you agree to the terms in this Part 1.

Cancellations by you

  • Cancellations received 8 or more calendar days before the first day of the workshop are eligible for a full refund.
  • Cancellations received 7 or fewer calendar days before the first day of the workshop are not eligible for a refund. At O²'s sole discretion, partial credit toward a future program may be offered on a case-by-case basis; any such credit is not guaranteed and does not set a precedent for other requests.
  • No-shows, missed days, late arrivals, and early withdrawals are not eligible for refunds, credits, or prorated tuition.
  • All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by email to info@o2innovators.com. The cancellation is effective on the date and time the email is received by O², measured in Eastern Time. No other method (phone, text, social media, or verbal notice) constitutes a valid cancellation.

Transfers and credits

  • Any approved transfer or credit must be used within 12 months of issuance, after which it expires with no cash value.
  • A registration may be transferred to a future session once; repeated transfers are not permitted.
  • Credits and transfers have no cash value and are non-refundable.

Cancellations or schedule changes by O²

  • O² reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any workshop due to low enrollment, instructor availability, emergencies, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control (including but not limited to severe weather, natural disaster, illness, facility loss, utility outage, or government order).
  • If O² cancels a workshop, you may choose either a full refund or transfer to another available session.
  • If O² reschedules a workshop and you are unable to attend the new date(s), you are entitled to the same choice: a full refund or transfer to another available session.

Payment plans

If you are paying by installment, the refund terms above apply to amounts actually paid as of the cancellation date.

Group and multi-seat registrations

For registrations covering more than one participant, the cancellation schedule above applies per seat, based on the date your written request is received.

Payment disputes

By registering, you acknowledge and agree to this policy. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute that contradicts these terms does not void your agreement to them.

Part 2

Summer Programs & Camps

This Part 2 applies to all O² summer programs and camps, including Build. Fly. Certify. — Drone Program, Build. Code. Unleash. — Robotics Program, and the CAD & 3D Printing Program. By registering an innovator and submitting payment, the parent or legal guardian acknowledges that they have read and agreed to the terms in this Part 2. This Part 2 is also reproduced in the Innovator Intake and Release Forms (Form 10); where the Forms Packet and this document conflict, the signed Forms Packet controls for the registered innovator.

Withdrawal by parent or legal guardian

Written notice of withdrawal must be submitted to info@o2innovators.com by a parent or legal guardian. Refunds are calculated based on the date the written notice is received, relative to the program start date:

  • 30 or more days before program start: Full refund of tuition, minus a $50 non-refundable registration fee.
  • 14 to 29 days before program start: 50% refund of tuition.
  • 8 to 13 days before program start: 25% refund of tuition.
  • Less than 7 days before program start, or after the program has begun: No refund.

No-shows, missed days, late arrivals, and early withdrawals are not eligible for refunds, credits, or prorated tuition. All requests must be submitted by email to info@o2innovators.com; phone, text, social media, and verbal notices do not constitute valid withdrawal. The withdrawal is effective on the date and time the email is received by O², measured in Eastern Time.

Cancellation by O²

If O² cancels a program before it begins (e.g., low enrollment), enrolled families will receive a full refund of all tuition and fees paid. O² is not responsible for non-refundable third-party expenses (travel, lodging) incurred by families.

Weather, site, or public-health closures

Sessions canceled mid-program due to weather, facility issues, or public-health emergencies will be made up on an alternate date when reasonably possible. If a make-up day is not possible, a prorated tuition credit toward a future O² program will be offered. Cash refunds for individual closure days are not provided.

Behavioral dismissal

No refund is issued if an innovator is dismissed for behavioral reasons in accordance with the Innovator Code of Conduct.

Illness or medical withdrawal

If your innovator must withdraw for a documented medical reason, please contact us. We will work with you on a prorated credit or refund on a case-by-case basis.

Scholarships and financial aid

Scholarship awards are non-transferable and may not be refunded as cash. Scholarship-funded seats forfeited fewer than 14 days before program start will be returned to the scholarship pool.
