Orbit of Opportunity (“O²,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website at o2innovators.com (the “Site”) and our services, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using the Site or our services, you agree to this Policy.
This Policy covers the Site, online registration, and purchases. Personal and medical information collected from enrolled program participants through our Innovator Intake and Release Forms (the “Packet”) is also governed by the Data Privacy & Records Retention disclosure within that Packet; where the Packet addresses program-participant data specifically, it controls.
Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Contact and registration details (name, email address, phone number, mailing address)
- Account and enrollment information (program selected, session, preferences)
- Billing information you submit at checkout
- Information submitted through the Packet for enrolled participants (which may include a minor's information, emergency contacts, and medical information — see Section 6)
- Messages and inquiries you send us
Information collected automatically when you use the Site
- Device and usage data (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring page, timestamps)
- Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 4)
Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems; Stripe handles card data under its own security standards and privacy policy.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: provide and administer programs, workshops, and purchases; process payments; communicate with you about your registration, schedules, closures, and emergencies; respond to inquiries; send newsletters and marketing where you have consented; operate, secure, and improve the Site; comply with legal obligations; and protect our rights and the safety of participants.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers who help us operate — for example, our payment processor (Stripe), our email and communications platform, our website host, and our analytics provider — who are permitted to use it only to provide services to us.
- Program staff and contractors who need it to deliver a program safely. Medical information is shared only with personnel responsible for emergency response.
- Legal and safety reasons — to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our agreements, or protect the rights, property, or safety of any person. (Note: our program staff are mandated reporters of suspected child abuse or neglect, as described in the Packet.)
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember preferences, and understand how the Site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect Site functionality. If we use analytics or advertising cookies, you may opt out through the relevant provider's tools or your browser's privacy controls.
Marketing Communications and Your Choices
With your consent, we send program updates and marketing by email, text message (SMS), and voice call. Consent is not a condition of program participation.
- Email: you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email.
- SMS: message and data rates may apply; reply STOP to unsubscribe and HELP for help, consistent with the consent you provided in the Packet or at signup.
- Voice: you may ask to be removed from non-emergency call lists.
We may still send essential service or emergency messages related to a program you are enrolled in regardless of marketing preferences.
Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through the Site. Adults register on behalf of minors.
Information about a minor enrolled in our programs is provided by a parent or legal guardian through the Packet, and is handled in accordance with the Packet's Data Privacy & Records Retention disclosure. For any online program platform used with participants under 13 (for example, a monitored classroom platform), we comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA): we obtain verifiable parental consent where required, and parents retain the right to review their child's information and to direct its deletion. To exercise these rights, contact info@o2innovators.com.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services and for legitimate business or legal purposes. Consistent with the Packet, program records are retained for three (3) years after a participant's final program of attendance, after which they are securely destroyed, except where a longer period is required by law (for example, incident reports). Site, account, and marketing data are retained until no longer needed or until you ask us to delete it, subject to legal retention requirements.
Data Security
We store information in secure, access-controlled systems and limit access to those who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Your Rights
You may request to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to receive a copy of it, by emailing info@o2innovators.com. We will respond consistent with applicable law and our retention obligations. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy laws (such as the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of certain processing); we honor these rights where they apply. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Third-Party Links
The Site may link to third-party websites or services that we do not control. This Policy does not apply to those third parties; please review their privacy policies.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be posted on the Site.
